EXERCISE 1
The Art of Adaptation
This exercise was in preparation for the Final Project by adapting the literature Invisible Cities. We were to study, analyse and creatively adapt it using a graphical representation. Through this exercise, I am able to interpret several ideas of a topic and translate them into different medias. In this case, was a photoshop collage. Besides that, I was able to get different view points on a common topic from my group mates thus expanding my views on a subject.
This module aims to explore techniques and practise methods of creative knowledge-sourcing and critical analysis. Through this module, I am able to generate multiple interpretations of ideas to aid in my design developments. These interpretations are then translated into different media forms to convey my ideas. I am also able to identify with other people's interpretations of a different subject or topic and how they translate it into their design.

EXERCISE 2
Observing The Everyday
By selecting an idol, we were required to produce an A3 presentation board of our understand of our idol's concepts through Jalan Bukit Bintang. Besides that, we were to compare and find similarities between Italo Calvino's literature and the city as well. This was to allow us to have a deeper understanding of the city and not looking at things at face value but more in depth. Through this project, I have learned how to pick out the little details in which I would have overlooked on an everyday basis. Translating these findings into a graphic representation made it easier for me to convey my ideas.

Project 1
Invisible Cities Resynthesized:
AN EXPERIMENT
Using the knowledge acquired from the previous excercises, we were required to translate our understanding of Jalan Bukit Bintang to be viewed in an unconventional way. We were to create a backstory and create a graphical representation of this story through a board. We were to merge the ideas of surrealism and the physical environment. Through this assignment, I was able to dwell deep into the creative part of myself and come up with a rather interesting backstory to Bukit Bintang. Translating it into a grpahic representation allowed for me to hone my photoshopping skills as well as my adpative methods.
