Project 1:
Green-Go 2013 International Short Film Contest
We were required to produce a video on environmental awareness based on one of the following topics : Life in Plastic, it's Fantastic?, Water - The Drop of Life or Stayin' Alive. I chose to dwell into the topic of plastic because I felt it was very relevant especially in today's world. Once we chose a topic were had to decide on shooting a campaign film which was limited to 60 seconds or a short film which was limited to 4 minutes and 60 seconds. I chose to do a campaign film because I believe in the term short and impactful. Once all these decisions were made, we were required to produce a storyboard of our film and shoot the film. We were then required to submit these videos to the short film competition.
Through this assignment, I am able to understand the relationship between the growth of our local and global context and it's effect towards the environment. I am also more aware of the current environmental issues locally and globally. Through the research done in this assignment, I am able to explore the conept of environmental and ecological sustainability and furhter recognize my role as an individual towards the environment. My ability to portray my ideas metaphorically has also improved through the generation of ideas for my video.

Environmental Sustainable Design
This module aims to develop and instill a sense of awareness of local and global environmental issues and concern within us. It also aims to explore the local context of climate and building practices as well as various approaches in sustainable architecture. After undergoing this module, I am able to recognize the effect and growth of the environment both globally and locally. My understanding of local climatic and envionrmental concerns have also improved as I am aware of the strategies that encourage local sustainable design principles and building practices. Through this module, i am able to recognize the roles and responsibility of an architect towards the environment and society by applying the concept of sustainability both environmentally and ecologically in my designs.

Project 2:
Appreciating The Environment
[ Nothing Is Considered Waste ]
In a group we were required to pick a minimum of two sites and produce 1 A2 research poster on our documentation and analysis of waste on constructions sites. This research poster was to contain a detailed analysis and explanation on the generation of waste in construction sites as well as brainstorming innovative and creative methods in which these wastes can be reduce and recycled. The poster was to contain a life cycle analysis of these materials as well. Individually, we were required to produce an object from the construction waste collected on site that is creative and environmentally meaningful.
After undergoing this assignment, I am aware of the factors and influnces of the generation of waste on construction sites. Besides that, I am also exposed to the awareness relate to the environmental issues related to constuction and the impact of non-reusing or recycling these construction wastes. My understanding of material life cycle has also improved tremendously through the research conducted in this project. My ability to produce a complete documentation and analysis on this subject has also improved. Finally, my ability to work in a team has also improved through this assignment.
